I really love…
The smell of coffee, although I drink far more tea. Eating pizza in Napoli. Old movies. The sound of the ocean. Laughing often. Checking the dessert menu before deciding what to order. Cooking with friends. Okay, okay… I love food. And thoughtful design. And puppies and cats. And conversations that go a little deeper than expected. And understanding why we are the way we are…. Lifelong learning and discovery.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT MY STORY
I grew up in the land of tall people: the Netherlands.
And no, before you ask, I have never worn wooden shoes; flip-flops have always been much more my style.
Since my late teens, I have travelled, lived, worked, and taught in different parts of the world. I tend to travel slowly, staying long enough for a place to become part of my story rather than simply another pin on a map. Somewhere along the way, “home” became less of a fixed address and more of a feeling: good people, meaningful work, a welcoming kitchen, and preferably some water nearby.
My professional path has been just as international—and not particularly linear.
I began in hospitality, managing teams and learning how people communicate, collaborate, lead, and respond under pressure. My interest in creativity led me into graphic design, branding, writing, and digital marketing. Alongside that work, yoga and meditation became an increasingly important part of my life, eventually taking me from student to teacher, teacher trainer, and educator.
For many years, I have taught yoga and facilitated teacher trainings across Europe, South Asia, and the Caribbean. That work taught me far more than how people move. It taught me how differently we learn, make decisions, build confidence, hold responsibility, and find our own voice.
Ever since I learned about Human Design on a retreat in Tuscany, it has brought many of those observations together. It gave me a practical language for something I had experienced throughout my own life: that a decision can look completely sensible on paper and still not feel right. And that being intelligent, capable, and self-aware does not necessarily make deeply personal choices any easier.
I know what it is like to live between different worlds—the structured and the intuitive, the corporate and the creative, ambition and wellbeing, independence and belonging. I also know how easy it is to become very good at doing what is expected of you while gradually losing touch with what is genuinely yours.
Ready to understand yourself a little better—and leave fix-yourself mode behind?
Because you are not broken, you do not need to become a completely different person. Sometimes, you simply need a little more space to hear yourself again.
Once a week, I share personal stories, practical insights, and honest reflections on decision-making, self-trust, Human Design, and living a life that feels more like your own.
No daily emails. No pressure to reinvent yourself. Just something thoughtful to read—maybe with coffee, tea, or your favourite dessert.
